Sunset over Concepción volcano, Ometepe Island, Nicaragua
Nicaragua · Tailor-made travel

Nicaragua isn't visited.
It's explored slowly.

We're a Nicaraguan family-run travel agency. We design routes between volcanoes, lakes and colonial cities for travellers who'd rather go well accompanied — no generic packages, no rush.

1Family behind every trip

Casanova Tours is a family agency based in Buenos Aires, Rivas — minutes from the Pacific beaches and Lake Cocibolca. Since our first groups in 2017 we've guided Nicaraguan, Costa Rican and international travellers through Granada, León, Ometepe, San Juan del Sur and the towns almost no one visits.

Every route is planned in conversation: dates, group size, interests. No catalogue prices, no surprises — just a proposal built for you.

Routes to talk through, not pick off a list

Every trip starts with a message, not a price

These are the experiences we're asked to build most often. Tell us which ones catch your eye and we'll design the rest together on WhatsApp.

Our story

One family, one town, and the will to share their country

Casanova Tours was born in Buenos Aires, Rivas, a quiet town on Nicaragua's Pacific side, started by Augusto Casanova and his family. The idea was always simple: show every traveller the Nicaragua they themselves love exploring — its beaches, its volcanoes, its patron-saint festivals — with the closeness of a family business, not an anonymous operator.

Since 2017 we've put together weekend routes, Holy Week getaways and multi-day excursions through Granada, León, Ometepe and San Juan del Sur — always with our own transport, Nicaraguan guides, and that very Rivas habit of treating every group like family visiting the house.

Buenos Aires itself has deep roots: founded in 1717 as the Pueblo de San José de Buenos Aires and raised to villa status in 1870, it sits on the narrow strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and Lake Cocibolca — a short ride from the Playa La Flor sea-turtle refuge, one of the reasons this corner of Rivas was our family's obsession long before it became our business.

Frequently asked questions

Before you write to us

How much does a tour with you cost?
Every route is quoted based on dates, group size and the experiences you choose — that's why we don't publish a fixed price list. Message us on WhatsApp, tell us what you'd like to experience, and we'll put together a proposal for you with no obligation.
Do you organise trips for small groups or families?
Yes — it's actually what we build most: couples, families and groups of friends between 2 and 15 people. We also coordinate larger groups for special dates; just tell us how many you are.
What's usually included in a route?
A/C transport, a Nicaraguan tour guide, immigration paperwork where it applies, accommodation and the visits on the itinerary. The exact details depend on the route we design together — we confirm everything in writing before you book.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend writing to us at least two weeks ahead, and earlier for Holy Week, year-end and patron-saint festivals, when hotel availability runs out fast.
Do you work with travellers coming from Costa Rica?
Yes, a good share of our groups cross over from Costa Rica. We coordinate entry and exit immigration paperwork as part of the route.
